Emma Quigg leads the organization’s hydrogen portfolio and she is spearheading potential policies to support innovation to reduce emissions in the chemical and refining sectors. Emma develops related policy initiatives by seeking input from industry, innovators, NGOs and coalitions. Before ClearPath, Emma interned at the Itapu Binacional Hydroelectric Dam in Brazil and Paraguay, where she researched microgrid development to improve energy access in rural communities. This research culminated in her thesis, where she evaluated rural communities in the U.S. for microgrids to improve grid resiliency and wrote a guidebook for communities to deploy microgrids in their communities. Emma was also an Energy and Environment Fellow at Duke University, where she researched state-level policies on green roofs and developed educational materials for residents of North Carolina.
