Biography
Hillary O’Brien is the Senior Program Director for Carbon Management and Science at ClearPath. In this role, she leads the development of innovation, financing, and regulatory policies for a wide range of carbon capture technologies and carbon removal solutions with a focus on the oil and gas sector.
Before joining ClearPath, Hillary served as Staff Director of the Energy Subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space and Technology where she directed and managed legislative priorities across the Committee’s Department of Energy jurisdictional portfolio. During her six years with the Science Committee, Hillary supported the passage of various clean energy bills including the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 and the Energy Act of 2020. Previously, Hillary worked as a project engineer in the commercial construction industry at John Moriarty and Associates.
Education
M.S. in geological sciences from Brown University and a B.A. in geology from Colgate University
