For our history buff viewers, you’re familiar with The Marshall Plan — the U.S. program that provided aid to Western Europe following World War II. Named for the plan’s creator, then-U.S. Secretary of State George Marshall, the U.S. plan helped reconstruct cities, industries and infrastructure damaged from the war. As a result of helping our allies, the U.S. also reaped tremendous economic benefits from new trade opportunities.
