
Former Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Jim Baird (R-IN) joins ClearPath
Wednesday, December 3, 2025 – ClearPath announced Tanner Brown, former Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Jim Baird (R-IN), has joined ClearPath as a Government Affairs Manager.
“Tanner is a seasoned House professional, having worked for a Member of Congress who leads on energy and agriculture innovation policy,” said Chris Tomassi, Head of Government Affairs, ClearPath. “Tanner will be an asset to our growing Government Affairs team as we work to advance clean energy innovation and expand our work on agriculture policy.”
In his role, Brown will educate House Members and staff to ensure they have the tools to advance policies that strengthen American agriculture and energy innovation.
Brown has worked on a wide range of legislative issues, with a particular focus on agriculture, energy and foreign affairs, helping advance priorities related to rural development, agricultural research and domestic energy production.
Brown earned his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in political science from Purdue University.
ClearPath’s government affairs team, led by Chris Tomassi, has a combined 50 years of Capitol Hill experience. This year, ClearPath also added Emily Henn as Government Affairs Director, who joined from Rep. Carol Miller’s (R-WV) office, and Ashley Higgins from Sen. Dave McCormick’s (R-PA) office, also as Government Affairs Director. Working alongside Tomassi, Higgins and Henn are Sam Hattrup, Government Affairs Director, and Amanda Sollazzo, Government Affairs Manager.
