Biography

Nick Lombardo leads ClearPath’s foreign policy strategy and engagement to help ensure the U.S. is the world’s clean energy leader. In this capacity, he spearheads ClearPath’s engagement on trade and investment policy, development finance, and international regulatory harmonization for American clean energy deployment with domestic and international stakeholders across industry, governments, and NGOs.

Nick joined ClearPath from the Tata Group, a global enterprise headquartered in India, where he was a Senior Director for Global Corporate Affairs at the company’s North American office in Washington, DC. At Tata, he handled public affairs, international policy issues, and strategic communications. In this capacity, he supported the growth of Tata Group companies operating throughout the United States and Canada across numerous industries.

Before joining the Tata group, Nick was a research associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a premier foreign policy think-tank in Washington, DC where he focused on U.S. foreign policy in the Indo-Pacific region. There he contributed to numerous publications and policy analyses on international trade, investment, education, national security, and defense ties.

Before coming to Washington, Nick worked with the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore assisting American companies operating in Southeast Asia, and traveled throughout the region. He also spent time studying at the American University in Rome, Italy. Nick holds an MA in international relations and an MS in public relations, both from Syracuse University, and an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York (SUNY), Geneseo.
