Luke Bolar leads external affairs and communications at ClearPath. Luke has helped grow ClearPath from a scrappy start up think tank to the credible and influential brand in the energy ecosystem that they are today. He is a trusted advisor for Members of Congress, their staff and energy organizations on public affairs strategies to accelerate energy policy outcomes. Luke is a regular resource for energy reporters and works with other energy communicators to shape the narrative for the policy landscape. He is also a frequent speaker at energy conferences. Before joining ClearPath, Luke worked at Edelman as Senior Vice President of the Energy and Environment practice leading communications strategy and public affairs campaigns for energy companies, trade associations and government entities. Luke also worked for more than a decade on Capitol Hill where he served as Chief of Staff to former U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-LA), as well as other roles including the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, Senate Committee on Small Business, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA). Luke has also spent years working on successful political campaigns in Louisiana and Iowa.
