Ed Holland is the former President and CEO of Southern Company Holdings and Executive Vice President of Southern Company Services. Prior to these roles, Holland served as President, CEO and Chairman of Mississippi Power, where he also was a member of the Gulf Coast Business Council.
Holland was previously Chairman of the Edison Electric Institute Legal Committee, Director of the Institute for Legal Reform of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Public Utility, Communications, and Transportation Law Section of the American Bar Association. Holland also served as President and CEO of Savannah Electric. He was involved with Gulf Power as Vice President and Corporate Counsel. Prior to joining Gulf Power, Holland was a Partner in the firm of Beggs & Lane.
He is active in the First United Methodist Church of Pensacola.
Holland and his wife Betsy have two daughters, Laura and Caroline.
