Bill brings more than two decades of experience building coalitions, shaping public affairs strategy and managing communications for mission-driven organizations in Washington, D.C. He is a trusted advisor to a wide range of organizations and lawmakers on advancing policy priorities and is a strong voice on public affairs and advocacy communications. Before joining ClearPath, Bill served as Senior Vice President of External Affairs at the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA), where he led the organization’s advocacy, communications and strategic partnership efforts. Prior to NAMA, he served as Vice President of Communications & Marketing at the International Franchise Association, and Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of External Relations & Strategic Partnerships at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) — the nation’s leading organization of free-market focused state legislators. Earlier in his career, Bill led global communications for the 41-country United Way Worldwide network. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at The George Washington University and has contributed opinion writing to national outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and Washington Times.
