House Republicans Name Energy & Commerce, Appropriations Picks
With the gains in the election and retirements, Republicans are adding eight new members to the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The new Republican E&C members announced are Reps. Kelly Armstrong of North Dakota, Dan Crenshaw of Texas, John Curtis of Utah, Neal Dunn of Florida, John Joyce of Pennsylvania, Debbie Lesko of Arizona, Gary Palmer of Alabama and Greg Pence of Indiana.
The announced new House Republican appropriators are Reps. Mike Garcia and David Valadao of California, Guy Reschenthaler of Pennsylvania, Ben Cline of Virginia, Ashley Hinson of Iowa, and Tony Gonzales of Texas.

Energy Department Announces Approximately $123.6 Million in Funding for 46 Projects to Bolster Domestic Manufacturing through Innovation
The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) announced more than $123 million in funding, as well as $44.7 million of cost share, for 46 projects in 23 states to stimulate technology innovation, improve the energy productivity of American manufacturing, and enable the manufacturing of cutting-edge products in the United States. The White House issued an Executive Order this week to promote small modular reactors for national defense and space exploration. Wyoming Ready To Take Advantage Of Massive Federal
Carbon Capture Support
Jupiter Oxygen Corporation has plans to set up in Wyoming by retrofitting the Pacificorp’s Dave Johnston power plant in eastern Wyoming with a form of carbon capture technology. The coal-fired plant is currently set for retirement in 2027. See more
