Rafae Ghani leads policy development and analysis for low-emissions materials and heavy industry, including steel and cement, at ClearPath. Rafae drafts policy proposals with input from industry, innovators and NGOs to drive towards bipartisan solutions. He published a first-of-a-kind comprehensive report on the landscape of cement and asphalt specifications in the U.S. and how shifting to performance specifications can unleash low-carbon innovation. Rafae distills complex technologies and developments from the Department of Energy for Capitol Hill, while also drafting comments for relevant RFIs. He collaborates across the team to advance steel and cement policy priorities. Prior to ClearPath, Rafae was a Managing Consultant for the Sales and Market Development team at IBM, responsible for over $200 million in sales to IBM’s largest clients. Rafae led a team of consultants and designers to prepare and execute complex sales proposals to C-Suites of multiple Fortune 50 companies, crafting tailored value propositions to win new business.
